Welcome to "THE UNFINISHED TASK" Website where I hope to publish my own ministry on a regular basis. It is called "THE UNFINISHED TASK" as the Lord Jesus set me a task to preach His Word over 46 years ago, and until He calls me home I hope to continue.

For those who do not know me, I was born in Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia, now called Zimbabwe in December of 1944. I was privileged to become a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ as a young man and spent a number of years as an active member of McChlery Avenue Assembly of God in Salisbury, now Harare. At the Easter Convention at my home Church in 1972 I was ordained for full time ministry as an assistant to our Pastor, John Stegman. From Easter 1972 until December 1989 I ministered all over Rhodesia/Zimbabwe before moving to the United Kingdom.

For the last seven years of my ministry in Zimbabwe I acted as the leader of the English language Assemblies of God and for most of that time was the Secretary of the Assemblies of God working with Geoffrey Mkwanasi who was the Chairman. Following the suggestion of Glen Kauffeldt a Canadian  Missionary with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (Zimbabwe) we formed the Pentecostal Fellowship of Zimbabwe with the support of around seven Pentecostal movements in the country. Although we had one Conference in Harare with speakers from India, Canada, and the West Indies as far as I am aware the PFZ did not last very long.

On arrival in the UK I became the Pastor of Olivet Pentecostal Church in Ramsbottom and was there for over nine years. During this time I served on a number of committees including the North West Regional Executive of the Assemblies of God and for a short time served as the Chairman of the Region.

In 1999 I resigned as the Minister at Olivet and as Chairman of the Executive with a view to spending a year in South Africa working with a friend in Durban. However due to family sickness we remained in England and after a short time doing itinerant ministry I spent seven years as the Pastor of Bethel Evangelical Church in Preston Lancashire. After leaving Bethel I returned to itinerant ministry for a couple of years speaking in a variety of Churches including Pentecostal, Baptist, Methodist, and Congregational as well as speaking at a number of Prophetic Witness Ministries International meetings.

In September 2013 I took up my present position as the Resident Minister of The English Church in Benidorm. The Church is run by Paraclete Christian Network International and is Non-Denominational, International, and Evangelical, catering for the resident English speaking population and the many visitors every year. Sadly just five months after coming to Benidorm, Marion, my wife of 39 years, took ill and after a short time in hospital went home to be with her Saviour. As I received no further direction from the Lord I remained in Benidorm and am now in my sixth year as Pastor.

The Lord has been very good to me by providing me with a new "helper" and on the 1st July 2017 I was married to Christine, a lady who is a real blessing to me.

I do trust that this Website will be an encouragement to all those who love God's Word, and a challenge to all who are undecided. The only hope for any man or woman is to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. Thank you for reading "about me" and I trust that these messages will be a real blessing "to you."

Lastly I would like to thank Jay Leake for making this page possible. I have been so impressed with the work that he has done. Thank you Jay!

Yours in the service of the King of kings,

Alan (AB) Robertson
